If you collect your e-mail using a POP3-based system (e.g. from your ISP in a program), then SpamPal is a useful tool when combating junk mail. The program sits between your e-mail program and mailbox, examining messages as they arrive. Anything deemed to be spam is then tagged by SpamPal. Filters can then be applied to organise authentic mail and junk mail.
